7          Tuesday ~ Kenya—Praise Report!

“On Sunday November 10, while traveling through Isiolo, I experienced a life-threatening situation when a group of young Muslim men blocked the road, attempting to ambush vehicles as they were looking for Turkana people and robbing the occupants,” reports Cornerstone Evangelistic Ministries leader Timothy Kinyua. “As our vehicle approached the blocked section of the road, I could see the armed attackers positioning themselves, preparing to strike. One young man approached with a dagger ready to stab me as I was engaging the guys who had surrounded me. At that critical moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and a deep assurance that God was in control. They asked if I had carried any Turkana people and then asked me which tribe I belonged to. I told them I am from Meru and they asked me to speak my mother tongue so I complied. Some took my suitcase, sport shoes and an umbrella. I prayed for protection and guidance. I firmly believe it was God’s intervention that not only protected us but also provided the wisdom and timing necessary for our escape.”
